یوفون برانڈ کی مالک کمپنی پاک ٹیلی کام موبائل لمیٹڈ (پی ٹی ایم ایل) کی جانب سے ملک کے مخصوص شہروں میں اپنے نئے برانڈ ’اونک‘ کو متعارف کرادیا گیا۔
’اونک‘ دراصل ایک نیا سیلولر یعنی موبائل نیٹ ورک جو پہلے سے موجود نیٹ ورکس کی طرح کام کرتا ہے لیکن کمپنی کا دعویٰ ہے کہ نئے برانڈ میں انٹرنیٹ کی رفتار تیز ہوگی اور صارفین فضول بیلنس ختم ہونے کی شکایات سے محفوظ رہیں گے۔
اس سے بڑھ کر سب سے اہم بات یہ ہے کہ ’اونک‘ کے ملک کے کسی بھی شہر میں فی الحال کوئی فرنچائز نہیں ہے لیکن صارفین کمپنی کی ویب سائٹ یا ایپلی کیشن سے آن لائن سم کی خریداری کر سکتے ہیں۔
نئے نیٹ ورک پر جانے کے خواہش مند افراد کمپنی کی ویب سائٹ یا ایپلی کیشن پر ذاتی معلومات فراہم کرنے اور سم کی قیمت سے متعلق بتانے کے بعد گھر بیٹھے سم حاصل کر سکیں گے
کمپنی نے فوری طور پر ’اونک‘ کو مخصوص شہروں جن میں کراچی، اسلام آباد، لاہور، راولپنڈی اور فیصل آباد شامل ہیں، وہاں متعارف کرایا ہے اور کمپنی مذکورہ شہروں میں ہی سم کی ڈیلیوری فراہم کر رہی ہے۔
سم کی خریداری کا آن لائن آرڈر دینے کے بعد کمپنی کا نمائندہ بتائے گئے ایڈریس پر بائیومیٹرک مشین کے ہمراہ پہنچتا ہے اور ویری فکیشن کے بعد سم کو صارف کے حوالے کر دیتا ہے۔
صارف موبائل سم ملنے کے بعد اسے ایپلی کیشن کی مدد سے ایکٹو کرنے کے اہل ہوگا جب کہ صارفین کو یہ سہولت بھی دی گئی ہے کہ وہ اپنی مرضی کا نمبر بھی منتخب کریں۔
صارفین آرڈر دیتے وقت اپنی مرضی کا موبائل نمبر پر لکھ سکتے ہیں اور اگر ان کا پسندیدہ نمبر موجود ہوگا تو کمپنی انہیں مذکورہ نمبر ہی فراہم کرے گی
کمپنی کا دعویٰ ہے کہ ’اونک‘ پر انٹرنیٹ اور کال پیکیجز دیگر سمز کے مقابلے میں سستے ہیں اور کمپنی 200 جی بی انٹرنیٹ ڈیٹا 1900 روپے میں ایک ماہ کے لیے فراہم کر رہی ہے۔
اسی طرح کمپنی نے فون، انٹرنیٹ اور میسیجز پیکیجز بھی متعارف کرا رکھے ہیں، جن کی قیمت مختلف رکھی گئی ہے اور ان پیکیجز کی مدت 15 دن سے 30 تک رکھی گئی ہے۔
کمپنی کا دعویٰ ہے کہ ’اونک‘ کے سگنل دیگر نیٹ ورکس سے بہتر ہیں اور اس میں انٹرنیٹ اور کالج پیکیجز بھی سستے رکھے ہیں۔
تاہم صارفین کا خیال ہے کہ کمپنی نے اس وقت لوگوں کی توجہ حاصل کرنے کے لیے انٹرنیٹ اور کال پیکیجز کے ریٹ عارضی طور پر کم کر رکھے ہیں۔

Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), the owner of the Ufone brand, introduced its new brand 'Onik' in selected cities of the country.
'Onik' is actually a new cellular i.e. mobile network that works like existing networks but the company claims that the new brand will have faster internet speeds and users will be protected from unnecessary balance depletion complaints.
More importantly, Onik currently does not have any franchise in any city in the country, but customers can purchase SIMs online from the company's website or application.
People wishing to switch to the new network will be able to get a SIM at home after providing personal information and asking about the cost of the SIM on the company's website or application.
The company has immediately introduced 'ONK' in selected cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad and the company is providing SIM delivery only in the said cities.
After placing an online order for SIM purchase, the company representative arrives at the specified address along with the biometric machine and hands over the SIM to the customer after verification.
After receiving the mobile SIM, the user will be able to activate it with the help of the application, while users are also given the facility to select the number of their choice.
Customers can write their desired mobile number while placing the order and if their preferred number is available, the company will provide them with the said number.
The company claims that the internet and call packages on Onik are cheaper than other SIMs and the company is offering 200GB of internet data for Rs 1,900 a month.
Similarly, the company has also introduced phone, internet and messages packages, which are priced differently and the duration of these packages has been kept from 15 days to 30 days.
The company claims that Onik's signals are better than other networks and it also has cheap internet and college packages.
However, consumers believe that the company has temporarily reduced the rates of internet and call packages to grab people's attention.
