Pakistan won the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 final by defeating Kuwait by 43 runs. Captain Abbas Afridi was declared the Player of the Match. In the final played at the Mission Road Ground on Sunday, Kuwait won the toss and elected to field first, which proved to be in Pakistan’s favour. The Green Shirts scored 135 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 6 overs.

Abbas Afridi batted with a storm and scored 52 runs off 11 balls, which included 7 sixes and 2 fours. Abdul Samad scored 42 off 13 balls while Khawaja Nafi played an aggressive innings of 22 runs off just 6 balls. Kuwait’s Matt Bhosar proved to be the only notable bowler who took 3 wickets.

Chasing the target, the Kuwaiti team was bowled out for 92 runs in 5.1 overs. Adnan Idris scored 30 runs off 8 balls and Matt Bhosar scored 33 runs off 12 balls, but the rest of the batsmen could not show much performance. For Pakistan, Moaz Sadaqat took 3 wickets while Mohammad Shahzad, Abbas Afridi and Abdul Samad took one wicket each.

عباس آفریدی نے طوفانی بیٹنگ کی اور 11 گیندوں پر 52 رنز بنائے جن میں 7 چھکے اور 2 چوکے شامل تھے۔ عبدالصمد نے 13 گیندوں پر 42 جبکہ خواجہ نافع نے صرف 6 گیندوں پر 22 رنز کی جارحانہ اننگز کھیلی۔ کویت کے میٹ بھوسار واحد نمایاں باؤلر ثابت ہوئے جنہوں نے 3 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔

ہدف کے تعاقب میں کویت کی ٹیم 5.1 اوورز میں 92 رنز بنا کر آؤٹ ہو گئی۔ عدنان ادریس نے 8 گیندوں پر 30 اور میٹ بھوسار نے 12 گیندوں پر 33 رنز بنائے تاہم باقی بیٹر خاطر خواہ کارکردگی نہ دکھا سکے۔ پاکستان کی جانب سے معاذ صداقت نے 3 جبکہ محمد شہزاد، عباس آفریدی اور عبدالصمد نے ایک، ایک وکٹ حاصل کی۔
